Autumn Spice Smoothie

Have no fear, you don't have to put your blender away as the temperature decreases this Fall! I am of the belief that smoothies can be enjoyed all year long, especially if you hold the ice cubes and incorporate the use of warming spices like cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and turmeric during the cool/cold months.

This smoothie is perfectly balanced with spicy and sweet flavors, with healthy fats (coconut, avocado, almond butter), protein (collagen, hemp and flax seeds), natural sweetener (banana, date), alkalizing greens (spinach), and warming spices (cinnamon, cardamom, ginger). Blend it up, and go enjoy the beautiful Fall scenery all around you.

INGREDIENTS + 
INSTRUCTIONS:

  • 1 cup organic coconut milk
  • 1 banana, fresh or frozen, peeled
  • 1/2 small avocado
  • 1 small date, pitted
  • 1 cup organic spinach
  • 1 inch piece of ginger
    (fresh is best to make it spicy!)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 dash cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp flax seeds
  • 1 Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2 Tbsp collagen hydrolysate protein
  • 1 tablespoon of Nuttzo
    (or your favorite Almond Butter)
  • Optional: 4 ice cubes

Put all of the ingredients into a blender
and process until smooth. Enjoy!
