My usual go-to is some variety of green smoothie (like the Green Machine), but sometimes it's time to kick it up a notch. I love eating roasted beets, and enjoy fresh pressed juices with beets in it, so why not a beet smoothie? Live a little, right?
WHY THIS SMOOTHIE ROCKS:
Beets make this smoothie a gorgeous color, and are high in immune-boosting Vitamin-C, fiber, potassium, manganese, and folate. Beets are known to reduce blood pressure, fight inflammation, and support your body's Phase 3 detox pathway to purify your blood and liver. Add this to the antioxidant blast of berries and the anti-inflammatory, tummy-taming properties of ginger, and your body will be left soothed and satiated.

Ingredients + Instructions:
- 1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced
- 1 small beet, peeled, washed, sliced
- 1 cup fresh organic blueberries
- 1 cup fresh organic raspberries
- 1 knob of ginger, peeled
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- 1.5 cups coconut milk
- Optional: 1 Tbsp hemp seeds
Put all of the ingredients into a blender and process until smooth. Enjoy!
