Mint Chocolate Smoothie

Recently, I had a lot of mint left over from making Spicy Watermelon Gazpacho (if you haven't tried it yet, get on it before the sizzling days of Summer are over!). So what better way to use the mint up than to blend it up into a rich mint chocolate smoothie!

I prefer that my smoothies are high in fat and protein, but low in sugar - this means that you will feel satiated for many hours without the energy crash from having low blood sugar. This smoothie boasts several sources of healthy fats, including full-fat coconut milk, avocado, and cashews. It is packed with high quality plant-based protein between the cacao, Ground Based Nutrition Chocolate Protein Powder, and Green Alchemy Protein Powder (more on that below). And while it feels indulgent to be drinking a smoothie with raw cacao, you're also receiving essential Vitamins (B and E), minerals (calcium, magnesium, sulfur, copper, iron, zinc, and potassium), fiber, and antioxidants.

And no smoothie {of mine} is complete without packing a GREEN punch 💚 . This smoothie gets its gorgeous green color from the spinach, mint, and Health Force's Green Alchemy Protein Powder. This amazing superfood powder contains spirulina, chlorella, ginger, mesquite, nopal cactus, and grass juices (alfalfa, oat, barley, and dandelion grasses), enzyme synergists (protease, alpha-galactosidase, amylase, cellulase, lipase, bromelain, and papain) for digestive support, AND probiotics for gut health.

So while it may taste like you're drinking mint chocolate ice cream in a glass, you're actually getting a TON of high quality nutrients straight to your body. WIN-WIN.
