Raise your hand if this Sound familiar...

You've been barreling through life at a million miles per minute, with an immense drive to achieve all of the things you believe you wanted [insert 'dream' life/career/relationship here]. Your life has been a rinse-repeat roller coaster cycle of wake up/caffeine blast/eat on the run/work hard/play hard/exercise hard/wine-d down/collapse into bed. Your quality of sleep is questionable at best. Slowing down? Not an option. Relaxation and self-care? For the birds. While your accolades and rich life experiences are amassing, it never seems like enough: your to-do list is massive, there are never-ending deadlines to meet, endless people to please (boss, partner, children, family, friends), and somehow the laundry never seems to do itself. You have had this grueling schedule day-in and day-out for some time now...

...and now you're exhausted, depleted and totally wrung out. You haven't had a good night's sleep in how long (?), and even with 8hr sleep you wake up more tired than refreshed (and please, don't try to talk to you without your morning coffee). You're often anxious, irritable, and have lost that joie de vivre that got you out of bed every day in the past. While you used to be able to eat anything you wanted, your digestion is a mess and eating makes you feel lethargic (how is that even possible?!). You constantly have gas, bloating and frequent (or not frequent enough) trips to the bathroom ... and just great, you're gaining weight. Your desire for sex and intimacy is nowhere to be found (oh wait, maybe it's at the bottom of your to-do list in the fine print), and honestly, everything feels like a chore. Perhaps you've seen your doctor, and either you received a fuzzy diagnosis that you are unsure how to act upon, you've received prescriptions that you are not really interested in taking (or try them and you feel worse), or you've been diagnosed with a chronic disease (perhaps an autoimmune disorder, inflammatory disease, or cancer).

You are now at a fork in the road, and know deep in your heart that your old patterns of behavior and way of life will no longer work. You do not understand what is happening to your body, and feel helpless, angry and confused. You are willing to consider dietary and lifestyle changes, but have no idea what to start (and your extensive online research with Dr. Google has left you even more overwhelmed). You ask yourself: will my health ever fully return? Will I ever be able to enjoy life again? Will my family, friends and colleagues be supportive of the lifestyle changes I want to make? Will I be able to fully commit to these changes? It all seems like too much ...

You are NOT alone.
I've been there, and I'm here to help.

{Transformational} nutrition Philosophy

Transformational Nutrition® (TN) Coaching takes a holistic approach to discovering the root cause of an individual's health and dietary concerns by considering the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. TN Coaching integrates psychology and spirituality with the science of nutrition to support individuals in determining appropriate solutions to create sustainable health and lifestyle changes.

As a Transformational Nutrition Coach, I care deeply that my clients are seen, heard, and feel like they matter. My clients truly are the experts of their bodies, and I help them tap into their own inherent wisdom and healing capacity. TNC is all about asking those thought-provoking questions that allow clients to dig deeper and not only reveal their truths, but also to discover the self-sabotaging beliefs that may be holding them back. I routinely work with clients on mindset, re-wiring negative beliefs, and amping up self-love so that they may create lasting changes.

The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine, or the slowest form of poison.
— Ann Wigmore

I believe in the power of eating an organic, whole-foods diet according to Michael Pollan's manifesto: "Eat Food. Not too much. Mostly plants." Importantly, I believe that your diet should be tailored to YOU. As a bioindividual, a human with unique gene expression, cellular biochemistry, and varying environmental exposures, there is no "one-size-fits-all" diet that works for everyone. This means that I tailor customized health/nutrition action plans based upon my client's needs and goals. Even if you are "dialed into" one diet, you will need to make tweaks over time as the needs of your body change.

My expertise lies in helping individuals with food intolerances, especially as they are navigating changing their diet to eliminate triggering foods. I am highly experienced with implementing elimination diet protocols to specifically support YOUR needs, including:

  • Gluten-free
  • Paleo/Primal
  • Whole30
  • Autoimmune Paleo (AIP)

Transformational Nutrition Coaching addresses both the tactical part of changing one's diet, as well as the emotions associated with having to make radical diet and lifestyle changes. In addition, I am extremely passionate about working with women to amp up their self-love, increase mind-body connection, and improve their relationship with food and their bodies.

Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.
    — Jim Rohn

what are you truly hungry for?

Our relationship with food teaches us a great deal about who we are and how we live, and vice versa. My mentor Cynthia Pasquella says that "You eat what you are" rather than vice versa. As such, dialing in the nutrition and lifestyle plan that works for YOU requires an immense amount of honesty, patience, self-exploration, and self-compassion. I believe that each individual has the unique capacity to heal and thrive. This requires a curiosity to dive deeper into the physical, emotional and spiritual factors that contribute to disease. My coaching takes an integrative approach to Nutrition, where we dive deeper into the power of food as nourishing us:

    • Physically/Biologically: the physical nutrients in foods have the power to heal and balance the body, while energizing the body to complete physical and mental activities.
    • Psychologically: food and mood are intimately connected, where consuming certain foods influences mood, and moods/emotions can directly affect food choices.
    • Socially: dining with others (family, friends, loved ones) can affect well-being, positively and negatively, which can then reinforce certain behaviors and beliefs about food.
    • Spiritually: eating mindfully with gratitude and loving consciousness allows for deeper connection to your Authentic Self, and will support the exploration of your life purpose.

In order to be nourished in all of these areas, robust digestion is required - meaning that you not only physically digest your food, but you also digest the mental and emotional experiences of every day life. Let's face it - life can be very stressfulYou may have noticed that you don't digest your food very well when you are stressed (and having digestive distress only adds to the stress!). For better or worse, it's all connected - the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual - and one area cannot be fully healed without addressing the others.

If you are ready to dig deep and uncover the root causes that are holding you back from feeling 100% alive and energized, vibrantly healthy, and ready to crush it in life - let's work together. I am ready to work with you (and your medical practitioner!) to devise a nutrition, lifestyle, and self-care plan that fully supports YOU and your needs. As your coach, I am your biggest fan, your ally, your confidant and listening ear, and the person who will challenge you when you need it most. Know that you do not need to do this alone.

It's your time to shine - let's do this!
